Its been awhile since my last blog. I feel like at this time I have so much to Blog about...but I dont at the same time. Does that make sense?
This blog I want to share with you the vacation I just took with my man. The last vacation we took was in September, We went 3 days to Rhode Island, which was a lot of fun, and then we were home the rest of the week...which to me, i just think about everything i need to do at work, home around the town that a stay-cation is not relaxing to me. I want to do something, see things I hadn't see before, take pictures and create memories.
We took a vacation at the end of March. Up until the last minute this vacation was not decided on because we actually had something else in mind....we were going to ask our landlords if we could get a puppy- we'd stay at home for the week hanging out with our new baby (much better than working)! This was so exciting for us.
I have had a dog since I was born and when I moved out of my dads house, I didn't have one anymore. I have gotten use to not having one but I miss it too. Beamer, my German Shephard is still living at my dads house in NJ and the last time I got to see him was in August, so this simple question of, " Can We Get A Dog?" was exciting and nerve racking at the same time.
The apartment we moved into in February this year is A LOT bigger than the place we had when we first moved up here so having a dog would be fine-apartment wise. There are tons of dog parks in the area and we like taking walks almost every day anyway- it would be perfect!!
Before asking the landlords about this, we...okay, I was searching pet websites finding the perfect breed for us- Good with Kids, Friendly, Small-Medium Sized, not too much shedding...We came across "Brittney's" and "Boston Terriers." Both were super cute.
We talked to the land lord a week before the vacation was about to start. If we werent getting a dog, where would we go?!? is it too late?!?
After a 2 hour hang out session with the landlords, we finally asked about a puppy. They gave us some paperwork to look at, they asked us to look into our insurance and do some reseach on liability and then maybe they would allow it once we came back to them with all that information. We asked, okay, so if we do this, and everything is okay, can we get one then? the landlord responded with, " ummmm, i'd like to keep my opinion to myself." and that right there, was the No without saying No.....
We thought about it some more, and decided that this might mess up a relationship with the landlord at this time, and we dont want that to happen. We will get a puppy when we own our first home.
We decided to go to Chicago......!
