Happy Night of the Academy Awards!

Well, its the night everyone has been waiting for....well...not really but the news, internet and radio stations sure make you want to believe that it is... its the night of the Academy Awards!!!!!!!! I only watched the last hour of the red carpet special which was enough, they still recap all the dresses you missed from the beginning anyway. I wanted to share a few of the celebs and dresses that I thought looked amazing...

Cameron Diaz. She looked amazing, however I wasn't a huge fan of her hair.....

This dress was one of my favorites-I loved the purple and the black satin belt. Her hair updo was simple but i thought all together she looked great! I really wanna read Bossy Pants...Thats on my 2012 book list.

Gwyneth Paltrow- This was a simple and elegant look- not over the top letting the ladies out and I loved it! She has the perect body type for this and I thought she looked so classy and beautiful.

Maria Menounos- This dress is just perfect for her. I love the color. I love the flow. Perfect.

Oh AC Slater. How I will continue to Love thee. :)

There you have it, my best dressed of the Academy Awards of 2012.

Cooking 101

This past week I made two dinner dishes I came across on another persons Blog called Budget Bytes. There are a lot of dishes that look yummy but I chose two that were different than my "Usual" specialty for my husband and I.

I have never made stuffed shells before and I am shocked at how easy they are! Adding the pesto in them made a big difference and P.J. and I enjoyed them...Not the healthiest meal in the book, however it was a nice splurge if I do say so myself and I plan to make them again....not just yet...but I will make them again. I absolutely recommend them to anyone...Get some Garlic Bread too....I love to dip the bread in the sauce :)

These were great too!!! I didn't exactly make the honey mustard from scratch like the recipe tells you too...I used honey mustard dressing cause I had that in the fridge, but i just added garlic pepper and salt to it to give it a bang. These were so easy to make and super yummy!! I served them over a spring mix salad and i also made rice to put as a side cause i wasn't sure how filling they would be....

all this is making me hungry....I think I'll have some leftovers!

New Jersey Visit February 10-12 Weekend

Ang, me and Stacey at the best diner ever!
Dave and Homer at the Amazing Diner!
This past weekend I went home to NJ  to celebrate my second cousin aka my cousin's 2nd Birthday Party as well as visit a few friends. PJ wasnt able to come with me this time- he had to work all weekend. I drove after work on Friday about 8pm and arrived in NJ around 1am. I stayed with my BFF Ang and her husband. The morning on Saturday I got to see Stacey and her Boyfriend Dave! All 5 of us went to a fancy Shmancy diner in North Jersey then we all had a cosco date. That was fun- BIG Shout out to Dave for putting on my new wipers! It snowed all weekend and without new wipers I wouldnt have been able to see out of my windsheild! After that I stopped at Walmart...and I got the Breaking Dawn DVD..... I NEEDED IT!!!!!!!
Birthday Girl, Charleigh Grace and her Mommy.

I got to Charleigh's Birthday Party around 4:15.... party guests were just arriving and I surprised everyone. Thats the beauty of living far- you can show to to gatherings un-announced and everyone is happy to see you. The party was so cute!!!! From the decorations to the puppet show to the birthday girl actually singing happy birthday to herself...in Polish, I had a great time seeing everyone even if it was for a short period of time. I cherished those moments and will never forget them.  I even got to make my other 2nd cousin, aka, cousin, Sophia laugh her little butt off. She's almost 7month. She was cracking up and I loved it. It was great getting to See Noelle, Maialen and everyone else in the family too! :) I didnt really have a place to sleep prepared for tonight, so many people offered but i ended up sleeping over my aunts house, which is where I usually stay if PJ was with me. Good thing I did too- it was snowing so bad and she lived around the corner so that worked out well. Dal wasnt able to drive home cause of the snow so she too slept at my aunts- Sleepover Party!!

Me and Noelle, Hanging out!

On Sunday my aunt and uncle took my sister and I out to the Red Lion Diner- Always a good time. Then I got to visit Vicky, Jordan and Sophia for a little before seeing friends I have not seen since my wedding, Christy, Liz and Cynthia!!!!!!! It was so nice to get to see them and catch up! I can't believe how big Christy's son, Shane is- he was adorable running around and playing! I was so happy I got to seem them all and I hope I get to see them again some time soon!!!! <3
Visiting with Christy and Liz!
Big Boy Shane!
Christy, Me, Liz and Cynthia!!!

I was glad I got to visit a few friends that I have not seen in awhile. I wish I had enough time to see everyone, its so hard with a rushed weekend like that- I'd like to try to go home again in a few months to change up my visits with friends! Once I figure out a date to do that, I will let people know and try to plan out a weekend seeing those i dont get to see often.....Friends, If you have Facetime or Skype, PLEASE CALL ME! I'd LOVE to see and hear from you!!!!! :)

Reality Through My Eyes....

Welcome to my Blog. I have been Blogging for a few years now however I dont have one thats just about my likes, and what I did that day, or my creativeness that I think I have....Im sure there really are not that many people out there who care too much, but since I dont live near almost all of my friends and family, I figured I'd start this blog for those who are interested in, well i guess you can say, "reality though my eyes."

First things First, I know you must be wondering "Why is this called, ' Dont Make Me Blog'....Hello, it IS a Blog.." Well, I named it this because, well I couldn't really think of anything else and in 2011, Jimmy Fallon hosted SNL and my favorite skit from that was this one. Go on, click the link. You will laugh- it make me laugh thats for sure. I love Kirsten Wig and I LOVE Jimmy Fallon. And so, I hope that video helps you to understand the name of this blog.

Now that I said "reality through my eyes" I want to share what my co workers and I were talking about on our way to lunch...The News. We had a discussion about how much we cry, which then led into talking about how commercials make us cry, then we were talking about the news making us cry....WOW we are typical women! It's nice knowing that I am not the only one who cries a lot!! anyway, we were talking about different things that are on the news now a days and how much it is all so negative, which is one reason why we HATE the news. Seriously, there is never anything highlighted on there that is positive. Think about it, why can't there be a special news station for those people who dont want to know about what is really happening in the real world and only show positive things happening!?! Call me crazy. I deal with a lot of negativity at work in the Mental Health field, I would love to come home to watch a positive news station. :-) Do you agree?!? So, with this said, I dont watch the news too much, and I definitely do not watch the news when I am alone.....It really is some scary S**t. Therefore, my kind of reality would be a world consisting of positive things, with lots of blankets (cause im always cold) and cupcakes....who doesn't like cupcakes?!?!!?!??!
