This weekend at the Boncek home was rather very nice. The weather was beautiful and it didnt feel as busy as the past few weekend had been for us.
Saturday I had a dentist appointment in Brighton (where we use to live). They wanted to extract my wisdom tooth but I knew I had so many plans for the rest of the month as well as the month of October, I decided not to get it pulled during this visit, that I would reschedule and have all 3 teeth that are still in there removed at the same time. I will be getting 3 Wisdoms pulled at the end of October. (ouch!!)
After my appointment I saw a few signs posted stating, "YARD SALE- ANTIQUES, TOOLS, STUFF!" I wanted to check it out because well, 1.) I LOVE yard sales and 2.) I think old items are really cool to look at. As soon as I pulled up to the house I fell in love with an antique wheelbarrow. The paint was not in the best shape, but thats nothing that a little DIY cant fix. I also saw a pretty cool looking antique chest, another DIY project. I was deciding over these larger items for a while, but as I walked around the sale I wanted almost everything, but needed to stop myself. Aside from the Wheelbarrow and the Chest, I found vintage jars that would look awesome at a wedding, so I picked them up for Cindy, as I am pretty sure she will want them for her big day.
I decided that I needed to have the Chest and Wheelbarrow! I am still so excited about them! I want to get creative, fix them up so they look pretty cool and then figure out something to do with them. This is what everything looks like:
